Lilly - Pharm.D., R.Ph.

Lilly completed her Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in May 2003. She was inducted as a member of Rho Chi Honor Society for her academic achievement. While at UH she served as a formulary chairperson for the pharmacy of HOMES, a Houston homeless clinic put together through a collaboration of Medical, Pharmacy and Social Work students. Between school years, she spent a summer in New York City serving the homeless in shelters and soup kitchens.

It was evident early in Lilly’s studies that she possessed quite rare and unique interpersonal skills that allowed her to excel as a top ten finalist of her school in the 2001 APhA-ASP Patient Counseling Competition for her effective communication with patients regarding their drug therapy regimen. In 2002, Lilly, along with a fellow teammate, again impressed both faculty and classmates when they ranked first at the University of Houston ASHP Clinical Skills competition, which in turn lead to their representing the University at the National Competition in Atlanta, GA.

As an intern, Lilly was allowed the opportunity to be a part of the Infectious Diseases Medical Team at the world-renowned M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. There, Lilly was very successful in implementing and applying effective and appropriate antimicrobial therapy against resistant pathogens, which can be problematic in both humans and animals. It was during her final internship that Lilly would discover the great need for compounding. At a local independent pharmacy, Lilly developed the skills required for her to tailor the medication needed in any situation, whether it is a capsule, suspension, transdermal gel, or suppository.

Upon graduation, Lilly joined a national chain pharmacy as a pharmacist focusing on people and their health. After a year, she was invited to join BCP Veterinary Pharmacy. Lilly and the entire BCP Veterinary team are dedicated to improving the health of animals. Lilly’s love for animals, along with her knowledge of medicine, ensures that all veterinary patients receive the same love and care as their human friends. As a part of the BCP Veterinary Pharmacy team, she is dedicated to working with veterinarians and helping animal owners keep their pets happy and healthy.
